Change Waste Recycling Shortlisted for SME of the Year at British Business Awards 2026

We are proud to be shortlisted for SME of the Year at the prestigious British Business Awards 2026, further reinforcing our position as one of the UK’s most dynamic and impactful growing businesses. We have also been recognised in The Sunday Times British Business Leaders list under the Enterprise, Innovation & Economic Impact pillar, an accolade celebrating organisations driving growth, innovation and long-term economic resilience across the UK.

This recognition places us among the businesses helping to power modern Britain’s economy. The Enterprise, Innovation & Economic Impact pillar highlights companies that are scaling successfully, investing in the future, and delivering meaningful commercial and societal value.

The awards ceremony, taking place on 30 April 2026 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre, is set to be one of the most significant events in the UK business calendar. With up to 2,000 leaders in attendance, the evening will feature appearances from George Clooney and Bob Geldof, alongside hosts Rob Brydon and Elaine C Smith.

Beyond recognition, the awards play a vital role in supporting Social Bite, a charity dedicated to tackling homelessness across the UK. We have proudly supported Social Bite for several years and are continuing this commitment into 2026. The event itself has become a major fundraising platform, raising over £1.3 million last year alone.

Our shortlisting reflects a period of exceptional growth and impact. Over the past three years, we have increased revenue by more than 94%, driven by rising demand for sustainable waste solutions. Our innovative approach, centred on high-quality, source-segregated recycling, enables organisations to significantly reduce waste, improve recycling outcomes, and lower carbon emissions.

Serving clients across retail, hospitality, the public sector and commercial property, we support major organisations including UNIQLO, Lush, Savills and the Scottish Parliament. Our scalable operating model, combining local operations with a nationwide service network, has enabled rapid expansion while maintaining high service standards.

Equally important is our environmental performance. By diverting nearly all managed waste from landfill and delivering carbon savings significantly higher than our operational footprint, we demonstrate measurable sustainability impact. This is complemented by ongoing investment in low-emission logistics and our commitment to transitioning to a fully electric fleet.

Ultimately, this shortlisting recognises more than growth, it highlights a business model that successfully integrates commercial success with environmental responsibility and social value. We are proud to be playing our part in building a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient economy.
