People profiles - Ross

Ross joined our team in 2022, fresh out of university and full of enthusiasm. He began his journey on our graduate scheme, working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises across Edinburgh. In those early days, Ross focused on understanding the core challenges our SME customers faced, building strong relationships and developing practical, efficient solutions tailored to their recycling and waste management needs.

Over the past few years, Ross has grown rapidly in both confidence and capability. His commitment to continuous learning and his natural ability to connect with people have seen him take on increasingly complex and high-value projects. Today, Ross leads on large-scale, often multisite national solutions. He works directly with major clients, helping them recycle more, reduce waste, and unlock additional value through bespoke strategies. His hands-on, yet strategic approach, has made him a go-to resource for customers looking to make meaningful progress toward their sustainability goals.

When Ross isn't working, you’ll likely find him outdoors training for his next challenge, which usually involves running, cycling, and walking. On Saturday 5th July he successfully completed the Great Kindrochit Quadrathlon, alongside a colleague, to raise money for Change Waste Recycling’s charity partner Social Bite, who are an incredible charity dedicated to ending homelessness. His drive and discipline outside of work mirror the qualities that have made him such an asset to our team.

"Joining straight out of university was a big step, but the support and opportunities I’ve had here made all the difference. I’ve learned so much - not just about our industry, but about how to lead projects, think creatively, and really deliver value for customers. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact we’re having, especially with clients who are pushing for real change in how they manage resources and sustainability." - Ross
